  • Sam Lutfi, Britney Spears’ former "business and personal affairs" manager, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles, California against the pop star, her mother Lynne, and father Jamie

Lutfi is seeking damages for alleged breach of contract, defamation, libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other relief.

The lawsuit maintains that "Britney approached Lufti and began discussing her family situation with him" at a nightclub near L.A. in early 2007. It says that "Lutfi was relatively well known within certain circles as a businessman who spent much of his time counseling and assisting homeless and wayward teens in the Hollywood area."

Lutfi is seeking damages for breach of an alleged 2007 oral contract "where [he] would act as Britney’s manager for a term of four years" and receive 15% of the income that she generated during that time.

He alleges that Britney’s mother Lynne libeled and defamed him in her book "Through the Storm, a Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World." He charges that Britney’s father "intentionally punched him in the chest," and threatened to kill him "if he ever heard that Lutfi ever again made a rude comment about Lynne or any other member of his family."
