Judge stops 2 Web sites from selling Beatles songs
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A federal judge has temporarily blocked two music-sharing Web sites from selling songs by The Beatles and other artists for 25 cents apiece.

Spring Design sues Barnes & Noble over e-reader
NEW YORK (AP) - Technology company Spring Design said Tuesday it filed a lawsuit against Barnes & Noble alleging it misappropriated trade secrets and violated a nondisclosure agreement when it launched its electronic reader Nook last month.

Foley & Lardner law firm gets $208M NIH contract
MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Milwaukee-based office of Foley & Lardner LLP says the law firm has received a $208 million contract from the National Institutes of Health. Foley says the contract calls for it to provide intellectual-property services for up to 10 years.

Palin receives $1.25M for book retainer
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Sarah Palin reports she received $1.25 million as a retainer for her upcoming book "Going Rogue." The former Alaska governor says in her financial disclosure statement released Tuesday that she received the money from publisher HarperCollins.

Lawsuits filed in NY over Tavern on the Green name
NEW YORK (AP) - New York City's famed Tavern on the Green restaurant is at the center of a legal battle over who owns its name. In separate filings this week in a Manhattan federal bankruptcy court, the city and the Central Park restaurant's current owner each claim ownership of a name that has been valued at $19 million.
